This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Quality professional to join a highly regarded and prestigious Infrastructure organisation who are a market leader in their specialist field.
An organisation who have fantastic core values and are going through a period of extensive growth, will be able to offer the suitable candidate the opportunity to progress their career further in a diverse and challenging environment within the Infrastructure industry.
The business has a diverse project portfolio and a number of large scale projects across Scotland.
Taking responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the Health and Safety function, this influential position will take the lead and maintain an excellent Health and Safety culture.
This significant but hugely positive challenge will include working within the senior leadership team, maintaining and developing management systems, and managing and developing a growing team.
This hybrid and strategic Head of Health and Safety position will report to an office based in Glasgow, visit sites across Scotland and also work from home.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Health and Safety will include:
Attending regular client, internal and contractor meetings
Develop and implement the HSEQ strategy
Implement and maintain the business management systems.
Manage and lead a growing team
Review policies and procedures
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Site inspections, audits and accident investigations when required The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience working with major or large-scale Infrastructure, Civil Engineering, Construction or Utilities projects
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum (or working towards)
Experience in managing a team. In return the successful Head of Health and Safety will receive:
A basic salary of £80,000 - £100,000
Company car (Electric and hybrid options) or Car allowance (circa 6k)
Fuel card and travel expenses
Private healthcare
Private pension scheme – up to 8% contributory pension
28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Discretionary bonus up to 10%
