We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join an innovative and forward-thinking financial services company. You will be part of a dynamic team driving the transition from traditional data systems to a cloud-based environment, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. This role is key to building secure, efficient, and scalable data pipelines, allowing the business to leverage high-quality data for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement end-to-end data solutions to support business objectives, ensuring best practices in data management and database performance.
Develop and maintain ETL processes, optimizing for both on-premise and cloud data sources.
Ensure data quality through proactive monitoring and observability checks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve data-related challenges, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data solutions.
Take an active role in performance optimisation and reusability across platforms and processes.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and deploying data pipelines, ETL packages, and database systems.
Strong expertise with SQL-based technologies (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS) and experience working within the Microsoft SQL Stack.
Experience coding in Python
Familiarity with modern data tools, including Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and cloud-based data lakes.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions within a collaborative team environment.
A strong understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimisation.
Desirable:
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Experience with large-scale data migration to cloud environments (Azure preferred).
