The Shift Engineer will play a key role in maintaining one of the UK's top bank office buildings, completing all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.

Job Description

Working within small shift-based teams, you will primarily focus on electrical tasks while also performing some mechanical duties.

Your role will involve ensuring that all PPM tasks are carried out according to set schedules, maximising the operational efficiency and reliability of the plant and electrical systems.

You will uphold high engineering standards, complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), and ensure all Quality Assurance procedures are followed.

In this role, you will also respond promptly to all reactive maintenance issues and coordinate the necessary actions in collaboration with the client.

Key Responsibilities

* Work at our client's building completing all PPMs and reactive based works

* Work in small shift-based teams and turning hands to many electrical biases with some mechanical work too

* Carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated electrical systems

* Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements

* Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated the electrical aspects of the PPM and plant

* Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all electrically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests

* Coordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

* Experience within a similar role working within the FM sector and ideally from a shift background

* 18th Edition and NVQ/C&G Installations along with any other trade-based certificate they have
