Assembly Operator (Electronics)

Location: North-West Cambridge

Hours: 6.30am - 2.30pm ideally but can be discussed Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £30k

Start: ASAP

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as Assembly Operators (Electronics). The successful candidates will play a crucial role in the production process by carrying out conventional PCB assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, operating automated test systems, and ensuring the highest quality standards. The Assembly Operator (Electronics) requires occasional heavy lifting but this is an essential part of the role and hands-on involvement in various aspects of the manufacturing process, including handling materials, picking, and packing of goods.

Main Tasks:

Conduct conventional PCB assembly and electro-mechanical assembly.

Operate automated test systems to ensure product functionality.

Maintain and inspect own workmanship to meet quality standards.

Follow instructions related to the manufacturing of electronic products.

Proactively assist the Production Supervisor, addressing issues in a timely manner.

Occasionally engage in heavy lifting as an essential part of the role.

Handle materials and assist in picking and packing of goods.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

Ability to use hand assembly tools.

Good hand soldering skills

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to follow assembly drawings and procedures; full training will be given.

Flexible work ethic with a commitment to maintaining and improving quality standards.

Basic PC literacy (training provided).

Demonstrate a proper and efficient work manner.

Act wholeheartedly in the interest of the Company and adhere to Company Rules and Regulations.

Ideally a background in engineering/tech/electronics
