One of Plymouth's modern and ambitious employers is looking to hire an HR Officer / Manager to oversee and run their HR function, for circa 80 employees. The role is a strategic and pivotal role in the business and this person will have influence and input into the day-today HR issues within the firm. The role will naturally include managing all the typical HR processes and practices, including recruiting for the firm, training and onboarding of new staff, benefits and retention, as well as managing holiday, sickness and maternity / paternity. The role will also include collating information for the external payroll company and many other areas to do with the employees of the firm.
On top of this, the firm is keen for this person to be involved in working closely with the business leaders, to come up with new ideas and strategies on how to take this firm forward, in a potential upcoming period of positive transition. With some part-time HR Admin support already in place and an amazing team of people across the business, this is a great opportunity to become a really pivotal member of the management team.
Areas of responsibility:
HR admin supervision
Recruitment and selection
Employee onboarding
Managing employee departures
Reporting
Recording data
HR administration
Attending meetings with the board and other business groups across the firm
Training and development
Strategic and operational HR
Management of professional support
Firm audits
