Location: Moorgate
Salary: £52,000 per annum + 3k shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Continental shift pattern (days and nights)

Role Overview:
As the Lead Shift Engineer, you will oversee the electrical systems within a critical environment, ensuring that all maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently and safely. You will lead a team of engineers, providing technical expertise, guidance, and leadership. The role operates on a continental shift pattern, ensuring that coverage is maintained for both day and night operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of engineers in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
Ensure all electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, and switch gear, are maintained to the highest standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, offering support on complex fault-finding and system repairs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and oversee the safe operation of electrical systems, particularly within a critical environment.
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Liaise with clients and internal teams to manage expectations and provide updates on critical issues and maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with contractors and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient completion of works.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections, producing reports as required for management.
Develop and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability of critical systems.
Act as the primary point of escalation for technical issues related to electrical systems.Key Requirements:

Electrically qualified (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent).
Extensive experience working in a critical environment (e.g., data centres, banks, or similar facilities).
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, fault-finding, and repair techniques.
Desirable: HV (High Voltage) Authorisation or previous experience working with HV systems.
Proven experience leading and managing a team within an FM or critical environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly in high-risk environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, able to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of maintenance reporting systems and relevant software.Benefits:
