Looking for a Senior Learning Disability Nurse for a temporary role in the area of Wigan.
The post holder will be an experienced senior learning disability nurse with knowledge and skills in supporting people with a learning disability with complex needs, as well as the provision of positive behavioural support. Adaptability, good communication skills and self-motivation are essential to the role. You will also be able to demonstrate that your practice is evidence based and innovative.
Your role will include:
- One day a week (shifts could be varied in times – for flexibility throughout the day but no late-night shifts).
- Assess the implementation of the PBS plan as well as provide staff training and support
- Provide feedback on a weekly basis to IST.
- Review incident report quality and offer support/ advice to improve this.
The 3 must haves for this role are:
• RNLD/RNMH with current registration
• Evidence of recent and substantive post-registration paediatric learning disability/mental health nursing experience
• A means of transport is essential and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
