We are seeking skilled and experienced Fire Door Carpenters to join our team, operating across South London, Kent, and Reading. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and weekly pay. As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation of fire doors in various settings, ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fire Door Installation: Accurately install fire doors per manufacturer specifications and legal requirements, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
* Site Assessment and Preparation: Conduct site assessments to plan and prepare for door installation, making adjustments to existing structures if necessary.
* Team Collaboration: Work in a two-person team, with each fitter responsible for installing one door per assignment. Collaborate effectively to complete projects efficiently and safely.
* Quality Assurance: Perform checks on installed doors to ensure functionality, alignment, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
* Customer Interaction: Professionally engage with clients and site managers, addressing any questions or concerns related to installations.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of completed work, including materials used and time spent on each project.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your team, and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven carpentry experience, specifically in fire door installation.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fire door regulations and standards (e.g., BS 8214, Building Regulations Part B).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South London, Kent, and Reading.
