Redditch

Our long established client in Redditch is on the lookout for dedicated Machining Operatives to join their expanding team. This role is pivotal to ensuring the precision, quality, and efficiency of their advanced manufacturing processes.

Shift Patterns:

* Double Days , 5 day week and then 4 day week – Mon to Fri (06:00 – 14:00) / Mon to Thurs (2pm – 12am)

* Weekend Days, 3 day week – Fri to Sun (05:30 – 18:00)

* Fixed Nights, 4 day week – Mon to Thurs (20:00 – 06:00)

Requirements needed:

* A keen interest in Engineering with the desire to train and develop

* Established background as a machining operative with metal components.

* Proficiency with CNC operations, spanning milling or turning

* Ability to adeptly read and interpret engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

* Skilfully operate CNC machinery (spanning milling or turning) , familiarity in Fanuc or Mazatrol controls will be advantageous

* Set up fixtures, tooling

* Strictly adhere to established operating procedures to deliver top-quality components.

* Conduct rigorous quality checks, ensuring components align with the highest standards.

* Utilise measuring tools and equipment to validate product specifications.

* Accurately read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and schematics.

* Seamlessly translate drawing guidelines into machining tasks to guarantee component precision.

* Actively participate in initiatives aimed at process optimisation.

* Work collaboratively with team members to refine machining processes and elevate production efficiency.
