Responsible for the management and improvement of cost
prices, contract management, streamlining the supplier profile
and improving lead times, as well as managing costs for
stock, commodity items and services ensuring it is competitive
• Manage and review pricing negotiation strategies to attain
the best terms whilst managing supplier portfolio
• Contracts negotiation and management, putting long term
strategic framework agreements in place
• Supporting Planners to fulfil demands with Purchase Order
delivery dates and expediting critical items & Commercial
Team with sourcing of new projects as well as support to
both the Procurement Manager and Purchasing
Coordinators to enable department to work as a team

What we need from you:

Buying experience within a manufacturing environment
• CIPS Qualification (desirable)
• Experience of onboarding new suppliers and audits
• Capable of identifying cost saving opportunities and delivering
cost down projects
• Be highly analytical and good at problem solving
• Proactive, well organised and able to build strong relationships
• High standard on all Microsoft packages
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Positive outlook
