Search Consultancy are supporting a growing family run business in Sheffield with the recruitment of a Credit Controller. This is a stand alone role reporting to the Finance Manager.
It's an exciting opportunity to develop the position, implement processes and ultimately manage the debt collection for an expanding business.
You will be responsible for clearing a ledger of over 300 accounts, with a total value upwards of £40,000 per week, however due to the growth and expansion of the business this number is growing and requires a self motivated Credit Controller to chase the debt and manage the client accounts on the ledger. You will be competent when resolving disputes over the phone. You will handle all outbound calls to manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve payment disputes whilst maintaining positive customer relationships. You will also monitor credit limits and accurately post customer payment details into the system.
To be considered for this role you will meet the below criteria:
* Be a strong communicator with good negotiation skills
* Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
* Be a proficient use of Excel and have previous experience of finance systems
* Be able to demonstrate how you will manage a growing ledger of aged debt alongside the growth of the business
This is a full time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 till 17.00, the role is on-site. There is free car parking and a company pension.
Salary up to £27,000 dependent on experience.
