Scope

We have around 150 Switches on our estate that are end of life. We have procured replacements, and along with this have several Switches that can be moved around. The timescales to replace these are aggressive at November end.

This includes rack and stack of Switches, configuration and migration of connections during maintenance windows which are 7am to 9am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and where the candidate will be required to be onsite.

Some of this migration involves Saturday work, and where identified, the candidate can work 4 days of the weekday, with the 5th day of the week being the Saturday. As this work required the candidate to be onsite, there is a requirement that this is 3-4 days a week, depending on the weekly plan and workload.

Along with this there will be requirement to assist the network operations team with BAU items such as looking at IT Service Desk calls in relation to network switch configuration, WIFI and WIFI surveys.

Knowledge of the following are required:
* Essential: Cisco Switching
* Essential: Physical network topology including WAN and Intra Building/Site network connectivity over the three sites.
* Essential: Structured cabling for Datacentre and Boundary/Edge switching (Copper and fibre)
* Essential: Cisco WIFI
* Desirable: Cisco DNA
* Desirable: WIFI Survey Tools
