Responsibilities & Qualifications:

The Novelis North America team is seeking a Sr Manager, Operational Excellence. The person in this role will report to the Director of Performance Improvement and lead a team of process, engagement and business compliance team members. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating change management and the cultural transformation required for plants to implement the Novelis Operating Systems (NOS), based on WCM principles and support deployment plans and measuring its implementation adherence. This position will support North America plants on aligning deployment of the management system across several manufacturing processes to support efficiency and cost improvements.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates NOS implementation with plants and Operational Excellence Leaders to build an integrated program to include schedule, communications plan, and applicable project management.

Supports the systematic execution and follow-up of the WCM assessments and monitors their progress and results.

Develops, plans to deploys NOS to achieve established requirements of the plant awards system developed by Novelis global standards.

Work with global and regional teams to provide expertise and support to the governance process based on the KPIs, planning and deliverables of the program.

Act as an effective, trustworthy change agent, influencing people at all levels of the organization to engage, support and nurture the implementation of a NOS based on WCM principle.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution

Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt

At least 10 years of experience in Lean or Operational Excellence

Experience establishing and leading Project Management office

Demonstrated experience in reporting/facilitating activities to senior leadership and board members.

Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.

Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.

Proven ability to influence and lead cross functional teams without direct line of authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA – Master of Business Administration

Experience leading operational transformation programs.

Certification in Data Science with advanced excel skills and basic Python
