Overview:

Location: Float (Lisle, Glen Ellyn, Bloomingdale)

Hours: Full-Time; M-F rotating day and evening shifts. Day shifts are: 7:30a-4p, 9:00a-5:30p. Evening shifts are 11:30a-8p and 12:30p-9p.

One weekend per month, day shift only, 7:30a-4p.

Profit-sharing program 

Performs a variety of complex diagnostic CT procedures, with primary responsibility of completing diagnostic studies from inception to completion under the direction of the radiologist. This would include, but not limited to: performing routine CTs and CTAs, taking accurate verbal patient histories and starting I.V.s, to administer IV contrast. Maintain a positive imaging environment for our patients and act as a patient liaison to the radiologist.

Responsibilities:

Computer applications/scanning and quality control on scanner.

Daily paperwork & protocoling.

Detailed patient histories.

Radiation Safety - ability to keep radiation exposure to ALARA levels.

Proficient IV starts/injections

Provide radiologist with quality networked images 

Interact as a professional with radiologist, site managers, clerical staff, and patients

Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading radiologist.

Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during the exam.

Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in Duly Health and Care sponsored training programs. 

Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers IV and oral contrast according to site-specific protocols.

Reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.

Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.

Maintains a clean environment.

Completes necessary protocolling tasks

Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.

Complies with Duly Health and Care CT Imaging policies/procedures.

Complies with all safety policies and regulations including radiation safety.

Maintains current IEMA license for CT and, 24 hours of CE every 2 years

Performs additional duties as required.

Has knowledge of radiation safety and protection, all aspects of performing examinations, operation of equipment, handling of medical waste, patient safety, and applicable rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited education program in radiology technology required.

ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(CT) 

Current IEMA license 

BLS -- Basic Life Support, AED Adult & Pediatric CPR required.

Minimum one year CT related experience or training.
