Job Overview:

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Nurse Manager, Inpatient Services. 

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. 

The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit. 

This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided. 

The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.    

Note: This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.   

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree (BSN)

Active RN license in state of practice

5 years’ experience as a nurse

3 years’ experience in leadership position

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

1 Year of Pediatric experience

1 year experience in clinical research

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
