Overview:

The Director of Technical Education is responsible to ensure that appropriate technical training is available in support of Konica Minolta products and technology. This includes the planning and development of training content, management of technical training facilities, and staff, and the availability of appropriate systems for scheduling training, providing access for course registration, and the tracking of registrations and completions/certifications.  The Tech Ed team develops product, accessory and peripheral training cirricula with KMI, Japan, and routinely coordinates and shares KMBS, USA, training programs and documentation with other KM Sales Companies Globally.

Responsibilities:

This position’s primary focus is providing the vision and direction for Technical Education staff. This includes ensuring that training staff are well prepared to create and/or conduct effective product training for  Konica Minolta products, and that facilities are effectively managed to support product training.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in an associated field or 7+ years of experience leading training teams. (Masters Degree a plus)

Minimum of 5 years facilitating or developing technical training courses.

Certification as a Technical Facilitation or Content Development Specialist a plus

Demonstrated expertise in managing teams.

Demonstrated ability to recognize and provide solutions for complex business challenges.

Ability to provide strong leadership and develop staff in team management, communication skills, and leadership.

Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences in a professional, personable, and persuasive manner.

Demonstrated ability to develop team goals and business plans to support corporate inititatives.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set appropriate priorities to achieve goals.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to clearly define a vision for the future and develop plans and staff to adapt to change quickly.

Highly self-motivated with demonstrated capabilities to motivate teams and individuals.
