Overview:

Performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with staff, customers and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance of customer master data.

Perform cash application of lockbox and direct deposits.

Provide customers with monthly statements

Assist in month-end closing

Provide guidance to operations administrative personnel

Generates accounting statements and reports.

Process credits for tax exemptions and apply to customer’s accounts

Research cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.

Prepares daily bank deposit.

Researches and applies unallocated cash.

Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.

Organizes and maintains up to date financial records.

Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

A minimum of 2-5 years of accounts receivable experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions.

Experience using Oracle is a plus.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Work in air conditioned office, outside and workshop.

Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.

Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.

Reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.

Manual dexterity and fine motor skills (i.e. frequent typing/keyboarding)

Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.

Working Conditions:

Standard Office Criteria. Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to accommodate schedule requirements and flex hours when needed. Overtime may be required.
