Overview:

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in concert with Radiologists and Cardiologist to obtain high quality images and provide exceptional patient care. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist works with regional practices for staff coverage of Nuclear Medicine Departments. The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist maintains passing nuclear certifications and lab certifications. The Lead Nuclear Technologist will spend 95% of time in direct patient care.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.

Experience: Minimum of two years experience working as a Nuclear Medicine tech, required.

Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB – RT(N) or CNMT, required. Applicable state license, required. IV Credentialed, required.

Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific validation and competency testing; good communications skills; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment.
