Responsibilities:

The Emergency Medical Technician renders basic life support of the highest quality, compassion and dignity, while providing patients transportation in the pre- hospital and inter-facility settings. Functions as a member of the health care team in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Provides care to patients ranging in age from neonatal through geriatric.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid New Jersey Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification2. Pennsylvania or New York Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician certification or NREMT accepted but must obtain New Jersey Certification within 12 months of hire3. Current and valid Healthcare Provider – BLS CPR card4. Obtain PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC certification within 90 days of hire date.5. Valid Driver’s License6. CEVO certification – must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period7. High School Diploma or Equivalency8. Previous experience as an EMT is preferred9.
