About the role of Quantity Surveyor
Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Hertfordshire, focusing on a high-profile rail infrastructure project. This is a contract role offering a competitive day rate of £400-£450, with a chance to work on projects valued in the multi-million-pound range. You'll be working closely with a team of skilled professionals, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, ensuring project budgets and costs are effectively managed.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
* Managing the commercial aspects of rail infrastructure projects, including cost control, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Preparing and reviewing contract documentation, valuations, and financial reports.
* Liaising with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
* Conducting risk analysis and ensuring that all cost-related issues are handled efficiently.

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the rail industry.
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and other construction contracts.
* Excellent financial and commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex projects.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
