Job Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7/8a) to join the Children’s Intensive Support Team (IST). You will provide specialist psychological input to autistic children and adolescents (up to 18 years old), working within the Transforming Care Programme to prevent mental health hospital admissions. The role involves community-based work, requiring access to a car or reliable travel options.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver psychological assessments and interventions for children at risk of hospital admission.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team to offer tailored, evidence-based care.
* Support families and carers through psychoeducation and consultation.
* Maintain clinical records and contribute to care planning.
Requirements:
* HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist.
* Experience with children and adolescents, particularly those with autism.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a community setting.
* Available for on-site work and hybrid options, with access to travel.
