SEN Teaching Assistant | Immediate Trials| Secondary PRU
We are currently working in partnership with a prestigious SEN school located in Eltham, Greenwich South East London. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team within a PRU (People Referral Unit) setting. This position is full-time (term-time only) and ASAP start.
Details:
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start: 22nd September 2024
Location: Morden, South West London
Full-Time (Mondays-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm)
Rates: £90 - £100 PAYE or UmbrellaIdeal Teaching Assistant:
Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
Has experience working with children and young people with special needs
Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
A team player and has great communication skills
Being able to build good working relationships with students and staff
Teaching Assistant's Main Responsibilities:
Supporting a year 7 child with Autism(ASD)
Understanding behavioural problems associated with various SEND students
Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
