AIRCRAFT FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £24 PER HOUR - DARWEN - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) 4 DAY WEEK - 37 HOURS PER WEEK (OVERTIME PREMIUM RATE) - ONSITE ROLE- SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE

MERITUS are recruiting for Aircraft fitters to join our client in Darwen on an initial 6-month contract to work on exciting aerospace programmes.

You will be approved fitter who will undertake all aspects of detail fitting in relation to the manufacture of aircraft components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Fitting duties including riveting, drilling and sealing.
  • Use handheld and air powered tools.
  • Work with small to medium-sized precision components.
  • Ensure the detail fitting and production of aircraft components is accurate, complies with specifications and meets timed deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance to all master processes and associated documents, ensuring industry standards are upheld in the production of components.
  • Adhere to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People procedures.
  • Keep records accurate and up to date.

Skillset/experience required:

  • Grade C or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Math's and English.
  • 3 years plus fitting and assembly experience.
  • Experience of aircraft fitting of detail parts.
  • Ability to read or interpret technical engineering drawings.

Desirable

  • Qualified to HNC/HND/OND/ONC or degree level in relevant subject
