Job Description
The Olsson Telecom team provides clients with services ranging from long haul outside plant design, building entrance design, Fiber-To-The-x (FTTx) design, GIS Asset Management / Fiber Mapping services, and project permit coordination. As a Project Manager for the Telecom team, you are responsible for leading and managing all aspects of telecommunications projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple telecom projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and effectively manage resources to ensure project success.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
Serve as a subject matter expert on telecom industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
