Job Title: CDL Class B Delivery Driver
Reports To: Transportation Supervisor
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay: Incentive pay with a $21/Hour

Job Summary
The CDL Class B Delivery Driver timely and efficiently delivers orders/groceries from our warehouse to customers.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Morning to Afternoon/Evening - HOME DAILY
Multi-Touch Freight
Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Routine lifting/moving of up to 65 pounds, occasional lifting of heavier amounts.
Using a hand truck/dolly, wheels up to 250 pounds of goods down a ramp, across the pavement to customer establishments, and occasionally goes up/downstairs.
Check-in all products at customer site against customer's invoice.
Complete all stops on the assigned route within delivery windows in a timely and courteous manner.
Exposure to outside weather conditions (e.g., rain, heat, fog).
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
Willing to work additional hours, holidays, and weekends as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to safely operate Tractor/Trailer Combination and Bobtail truck.
Newer Straight Trucks
Maintain a valid CDL Class B Commercial Driver's License.
Requirements
*MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AIRPORT SECURITY CLEARANCE WHICH REQUIRES A THOROUGH BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION*
High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Class B Driver’s License required. Experience driving manual transmission vehicles or the desire to learn a plus
1-3 years of general work experience required
1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred. Local delivery experience preferred
Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a plus
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Driving record within MVR policy guidelines required
Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 50+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach
End of Day
Pick-up/dispose of all trash and debris from trailer/bobtail box. Return units in a neat and orderly manner.
All paperwork (invoices, invoice change requests, checks, etc.) was returned to Accounts Receivable in a neat and orderly manner.
Turn in all appropriate documentation for transportation.
Safety/Policy - The goal is to get our drivers home safely every day.
Complete both “Pre-Trip” and “Post-Trip” inspections (DVIR) of equipment.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.
Comply with all Safety policies and procedures.
Comply with all D.O.T regulations.
Maintain D.O.T. logbooks, when necessary.
Driving a Forklift: You will safely operate a forklift to move products around the warehouse. We will provide you with training to make sure you can do this job safely.
Loading and Unloading: You will help load and unload trucks with food products. We need you to be careful and make sure the right products are going in and out.
Keeping the Warehouse Clean: You will help us keep the warehouse organized and clean. This means putting products in the right places and making sure everything is tidy. You will also help with counting the inventory to make sure we have the right number of products.
Taking Care of Equipment: You will be responsible for taking care of the forklift and other equipment in the warehouse. If you notice any problems or issues, you need to let your supervisor know.
Any other duties assigned by the manager.
