TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEMH secondary school based in Erdington. This school achieves an excellent level of care for children and young people. Supporting young people with SEMH needs ranging from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to Challenging behaviour. The schools caters to children and students with needs such as disruptive behaviour and outbursts of verbal and physical frustration.

The school is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant (TA) to cover lessons across various classes on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will work with both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), delivering the national curriculum and supporting children with challenging behavior.

The successful TA/Teaching Assistant will have:

Level 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
Good communication skills
Effective behaviour management skills
A calm, patient and caring persona
