SER are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for an SEN school in Tonbridge. This is an ambitious school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs. The school invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve; as such the school strives to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and dedicated. The school are looking for exceptional people to join their team who are able to demonstrate belief in the school culture and ethos; have a passion for working with children and young people with special needs as well as creativity and energy.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Ages: EYFS – KS5
SEN: PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties)
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Full Time)
Rate: 12:31pr hr (+ holiday pay)
Location: Tonbridge
Start Date: Immediate Start
Ideal candidates will:
Professional and caring individual
Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
Flexible, adaptable and be able to use own initiative
Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential (all applications welcome)
As the range of pupil’s ages and SEN requirements vary, I am looking for flexible team members who are confident to work across all aspects of SEN and all key stages.

If you have been a UK resident for less than 5 years, a right to work visa must be provided and a criminal background check certificate must be provided for any country resided in for 6 months or more within the past 5 years.
