Project Quantity Surveyor - Hotel Refurbishment – Main Contractor

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious hotel refurbishment project in Kensington. This exciting £175m project will transform an existing hotel into a luxury, high-end hotel. We are looking for a candidate with expertise in managing complex and high-value packages. As the No. 2 on the project, you will play a crucial role in ensuring its successful financial management and timely delivery.

Project Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Procurement of Sub-Contractors: Ensure that the selection of consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers aligns with pre-agreed budgetary constraints.
Tender & Package Management: Analyse tender returns, participate in pre-start meetings, and provide detailed recommendations for order placements to Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyors.
Claims & Final Accounts: Administer sub-contractor, consultant, and supplier claims, ensuring that final accounts are managed in the best commercial interest of the company.
High-Value/Risk Packages: Procure and manage more complex, higher-value/risk packages to ensure contract compliance and minimize unnecessary costs.
Project Support: Act as the second-in-command on the project, supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor, and stepping in to manage responsibilities in their absence while keeping the Managing Surveyor and Commercial Department informed. Project Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Educational Qualifications: BSc in Quantity Surveying.
Professional Credentials: Chartered member of RICS or currently working towards it.
Relevant Experience: Experience in hotel refurbishments or high-end construction projects is highly preferred.
Contract & Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of Standard Forms of Contract (JCT), Standard Methods of Measurement, Building Regulations (including Part B), and NHBC Standards.
Management Experience: Proven track record in managing complex, higher-risk packages with significant value. In Return:
