Job Summary:

* Work within the Production Engineering team across all electronics product ranges, contributing to business growth.

* Drive consistent capability and improved capacity in manufacturing processes.

* Ensure all manufacturing configuration controls are maintained and up to date throughout the product lifecycle.

* Report technical issues to the customer and provide support to the Operations facility.

* Focus on continuous improvement opportunities to enhance profitability and efficiency.

* Promote lean manufacturing philosophies and educate peers in these approaches.

* Tackle on-line production issues, performing component-level fault finding and root cause analysis.

* Collaborate with manufacturing and supply teams to address technical challenges and implement corrective actions.

* Investigate, document, and resolve faults in customer-owned products.

* Provide technical input during the production process to ensure manufacturing efficiency.

* Drive continuous improvements in manufacturing costs and ease of production.

* Assist in developing flexible and balanced production lines.

* Develop and maintain configuration control documents and product manufacturing times.

* Write and review process FMEA, control plans, and conduct risk assessments.

* Support the development of long-term improvement plans for both products and processes.

* Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) by ensuring designs meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards.

* Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, coordinating with engineering and project teams.

* Plan and control manufacturing changes, from concept to production, including process improvements and trials.

* Support safety processes, including risk and COSHH assessments, and promote a safety-first culture.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in an engineering role supporting electronics manufacturing.

* Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing philosophies such as DFM/DFA.

* Understanding of both electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and testing.

* Ability to produce concise reports and deliver effective presentations

* Familiarity with electrical and RF test techniques is beneficial.

* Experience with high-voltage electronics and encapsulation.

* Expertise in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis).

* Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and calculations.

Security:

* Ability to obtain SC (Security Clearance)
