An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an OFSTED Outstanding Local Authority in Manchester as a Social Work Practice Manager within the Child Protection (CP) / Child in Need (CIN) team. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated professional with a passion for delivering high-quality social work services.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of social workers within the CP/CIN team, ensuring effective delivery of child protection and child in need services.
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social workers, ensuring that practice is of the highest standard.
Oversee case management, ensuring timely and effective intervention and support for children and families.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local policies, maintaining the Local Authority’s outstanding level of service.
Experience & Skills:
Previous management experience in a social work setting, preferably within CP or CIN teams.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex cases and guide social workers through challenging situations.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality services within tight deadlines.
Requirements:
SWE Registration (Social Work England)
Extensive experience in child protection and/or child in need services.
