A Local Authority in North London is looking for a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team within children's services. Offering a competitive rate of up to £40 per hour, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families.

About the Role:

As a Qualified Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and delivering support to children with disabilities and their families. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure children receive the best possible care and services tailored to their needs. Your role will involve working with children, families, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and provide safeguarding support where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop care plans tailored to the individual needs of children with disabilities.

Provide support and advice to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate services.

Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to deliver coordinated and effective support.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice standards.

Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely interventions and positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements:

Qualified social worker with experience in children's services, particularly in working with children with disabilities.

Social Work England registered.

Strong understanding of child protection legislation, disability support services, and safeguarding practices.

Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
