Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the dedication and empathy to support and inspire students to reach their full potential? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at our specialist school in Ellesmere Port. In this role, you will provide crucial support to our students, helping them navigate both their academic and personal challenges in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Support the emotional well-being of students and help them develop coping strategies.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.What We Are Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desired but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations.To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
