Assistant Project Manager – Digital Engineering
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £38,850 - £52,555
About the Role:
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our clients Digital Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Engineering Programme Manager to lead the delivery of innovative digital engineering projects. These projects are designed to meet critical business needs and drive digital transformation. You will play a key role in overseeing the implementation of new digital capabilities and managing the transition to operational service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a full Project Management role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery: Lead a variety of digital engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet business goals and timelines.
* Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes and timely delivery.
* Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, using your negotiation skills to manage expectations and resolve issues.
* Scheduling: Create and manage detailed project plans, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet deadlines.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks early, assess their impact, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
* Programme Support: Assist in the administration of the wider Digital Engineering programme, contributing to department-wide initiatives as required.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in IT Project Management, with a focus on digital transformation and change management.
* Ability to guide stakeholders and manage suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly in managing expectations and resolving conflicts.
* Experience in identifying and managing project risks.
* Expertise in project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.
