Job Title: Unqualified English Teacher / English HLTA (KS3 - GCSE)

Daily Rate: £95 - £135 a day

Thriving SEMH School located in the London Borough of Bromley is recruiting a dedicated and passionate Monday to Friday Unqualified English Teacher / English HLTA. This contract role is to start immediately.

The successful Unqualified English HLTA / English Teacher will have experience in teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) to GCSE level English and possess skills in managing small groups, with a strong understanding of SEMH, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenging behaviour. You will have excellent experience planning, delivering and marking English lessons.

You will have outstanding classroom management & can successfully de-escalate challenging behaviours in a non-judgemental way.

Experience teaching in either a HLTA or Unqualified Teacher (behaviour difficulties)
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students in KS3 to GCSE.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour support strategies.
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and reports to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' educational and emotional needs.
In date DBS on the update service OR able to pay for a new one ASAP.
