We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and take charge of maintaining and repairing equipment at a manufacturing site. In this role, you'll ensure minimal production interruptions and play a key role in the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing systems.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization and proven experience improving processes to enhance efficiency. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues efficiently.
Perform both reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Conduct planned maintenance (PM) following the maintenance schedule, recording all actions taken.
Carry out condition-based monitoring (CBM) to ensure equipment operates at optimal performance.
Manage and organize spare parts for maintenance, including procurement when necessary.
Analyse equipment data from the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to identify and implement performance improvements.
Assist in planning and executing facility improvements and expansions.
Update the Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate tracking of work completed.
Follow and promote safety, health, and environmental standards, setting an example for colleagues.
Coordinate with production teams to maintain smooth operation during repairs and maintenance.Person Specification:

Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting is essential.
Relevant Engineering Qualification (Mechanical or Electrical) to Level 3.
IPAF certification is an advantage.
A Health and Safety Qualification like IOSH Managing Safely is desirable.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Evidence of a hands-on, practical approach in previous positions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A full UK driving license is required.
