Electrician Mate/Improver required to work around the Gloucester area, further travel may be required occasionally.

My client is happy to take on a Domestic electrician if you fancy a change of scene and would like to try something different from Domestic jobs. Solar is more niche and full training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

* Install string cables onto photovoltaic (PV) array tables.

* Terminate DC mains cables at combiner boxes and inverter stations.

* Make off MC4 connectors at panels and combiner boxes.

* Terminate communication cables (RS485, CAT5, CAT6).

* Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of PV solar systems according to the latest edition of BS EN (phone number removed) and other relevant standards.

* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

* Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards.

Skills & Qualifications required:

* NVQ (preferred or on route to doing)

* ECS card (of some grading)

* 2-3 years’ experience

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

* Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work (solar experience is a bonus).

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Full UK driving license.

* Vehicle allowance + 25p per mile or Company van and fuel card.

* Working hours; 7am-5pm with an hour for lunch, Mons-Thurs, 7am-2pm on Fridays.

* Overtime will be paid, 1x3 weekend work with travel expenses + £25 per day upfront food costs, if required to stay away.
