Location: Static Site, Shoreditch, London
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a static site in Shoreditch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and proactive maintenance of the building’s facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all occupants. This role requires a hands-on approach to address electrical, mechanical, and building fabric maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Carry out routine PPM tasks across all aspects of the building’s infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building fabric.

* Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to breakdowns, faults, and other maintenance issues, diagnosing problems and implementing timely repairs.

* Electrical Maintenance: Perform electrical maintenance, including lighting repairs, power distribution, emergency lighting testing, and minor installations in line with regulatory standards.

* Mechanical Maintenance: Address mechanical issues such as HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and other building services, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.

* Liaison and Reporting: Communicate effectively with the on-site team, management, and external contractors. Provide regular updates on maintenance activities, including detailed reports on completed tasks and any issues encountered.

* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, building systems efficiency, and reducing downtime.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Technical Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with relevant trade qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, F-Gas certification).

* Experience: Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, preferably within a commercial or static site environment.

* Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building fabric maintenance. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

* Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations, statutory compliance, and building codes.

* Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

* Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload effectively to meet deadlines.

* Flexible: Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary and be part of an on-call rota.
