A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor, to join their team based predominantly in their head office, whilst regularly providing support to their site teams across the country. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of works and to work amongst an experienced and longstanding team.
This Health & Safety Advisor role will involve regular site inspections and visits, Health & Safety Awareness ensuring all legislation changes and best practice is implemented, monitoring of policies and procedures & carrying out behavioural safety training as and when required.
As Health & Safety Advisor you will provide project support to the wider business and deliver necessary assistance to smaller projects that don't have their own designated H&S teams
This Health & Safety Advisor role is with a busy Tier 1 contractor with a turnover in excess of £28bn, and secured workload in the highways, industrial, utilities and rail sectors nationwide. Traditionally projects range in size from £13m - £1bn. This is an ideal opportunity for a experienced Health & Safety advisor looking to work on a nationwide basis and seeking variety.
You will be an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a proven track record working within a reputable main contractor within the construction/ civil engineering industry and the ability to assist with schemes of a similar complexity and value. Key attributes include desirably you will be chartered IOSH and relevant NEBOSH qualification and preferably a degree in civil engineering and include excellent communication skills, determination and drive and relevant best practice knowledge.
