An opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work for a global leader, who manufactures for the automotive aftermarket is available.

BGA is the aftermarket division of the British Gaskets Group. We are a world leading original equipment gasket and engine component manufacturer and distributor to many of the world's vehicle and industrial factories. BGA's mission is to supply the world aftermarket with a full range of original quality engine components.

This role will focus on generating sales growth from our extensive range of Engine components, steering & suspension components and transmission components within the automotive and engine wholesale sectors.

You will be responsible for growing and developing car component sales in the UK.

You will have the right commercial acumen to be able to identify profitable growth opportunities within buying groups, key accounts and independent opportunities within the area.

You must have sales experience within the Automotive aftermarket sector and ideally you will have experience and knowledge of the UK Buying Groups inc AAG, UAN, The Parts Alliance, RAPID, IFA, A1MS, PDP etc. You will have experience of working in a field sales role and be prepared for the occasional night away or evening work whilst attending trade events etc.

You will be a confident communicator as you will be responsible for staff training at factor level.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the Automotive aftermarket industry and strong sales experience

Excellent level of PC literacy (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

* A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
