Job Description:

Director, Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering

Location: Remote Colorado or Texas

Annual Compensation: $150,000 to $180,000 DOE

This position is bonus eligible 

Under the guidance of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) this role will be responsible for managing the design, implementation and maintenance of security engineering and architecture related initiatives.  This includes identifying tactics, techniques, and procedures to use for cyber solutions to ensure the protection of GMR's systems, solutions, and data. This role also serves as the first line supervisor for cybersecurity architecture, engineer, and operational team management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of security architectures to protect our organization's systems and data.

Manage a team of security engineers, architects, and operation personnel providing guidance and support on security-related matters.

Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that security is integrated into all systems and processes.

Monitor and analyze security systems and logs to identify potential security threats.

Participate in vulnerability assessments and manage the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.

Stay up-to-date with advances in security technologies and recommend new tools and methods for enhancing our security posture.

Develop, resource, and maintain security programs and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

Provide guidance and support to other IT teams on security-related matters.

Participate in security audits and assessments.

Serves as an escalation point in on-call rotation to provide support for security incidents.

Ensure that security incidents are properly investigated and resolved.

Develop and maintain relationships with external security partners.

Lead and manage complex security projects.

Train and mentor other security engineers and architects.

Oversee the security operations team and provide leadership in the time of a crisis.

Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with CISO.

Education/Licensing/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology,  or related field; Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Management of Information Systems or related field (preferred).  Military leadership in the cyber security field may replace degree preferences.

CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, GSLC or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong leadership skills to communicate and gain support for information security-related concepts and initiatives across the organization.

Ability to present information security concepts to all levels of the organization and explain their relevance to the executive management team.

Strong technical skills in information security technologies and standards with hands-on experience.

Able to work with technical and non-technical staff to manage project deliverables and team relationships.

Strong communication and project management skills.

Technical creativity and priority management skills to accomplish a variety of projects.
