The Maintenance Planner improves work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and co-ordination of manpower, parts and material, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner prepares plans for individual work orders and prepares work schedules and reports. This person will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable CMMS system. Supports the function of the plant maintenance department by developing job plans, spare parts inventory control and advance work/projects schedule.

Responsibilities:

Provide clerical and other support and assistance to the Maintenance Planner.

Act as back up to the Maintenance Planner/Inventory when necessary.

Coordinate receiving repair parts and supply items and enter the CMMS.

Interface with vendors for returns, warranties, quality, payment, delivery, and proof of delivery.

Maintain an organized and accurate parts storeroom and identify/eliminate obsolete parts in accordance with our 5S program.

Maintain Parts Inventory accuracy including entering parts and required information into the CMMS system (ROSS) to obtain parts numbers and storage locations.

Order all parts needed for the Maintenance Department.

Document and coordinate the shipping of items to be repaired or exchanged.

Place parts in storage areas and oversee the cleanliness for all parts storage areas.

Ensure quality of deliveries by verifying the purchase order, with the packing slip, visually inspect the contents for damage, correctly receive the item into the maintenance CMMS system.

Perform other functions as requested by management based on business needs.

Provide support on creating the work orders using Maintenance modules to track the repair cost per machine

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 years of experience with inventory management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS.

Good technical, analytical and communication skills.

Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

Establish and maintain effective relationship with members and general vendors/contractors.

Available to work overtime (end of shift and weekends).

Physical - Requires walking/standing approximately 50%, sitting approximately 40% and correctly lifting to 40 lbs. approximately 10% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 25% of time.
