Responsibilities:

Ensures company billing and collection practices adhere to all governmental and payor regulations.

Keeps up to date on their assigned payors' billing and collection requirements and implements process changes as needed to comply with the payors' requirements.

Works with management, develop billing and collection productivity and performance metrics based on payors' complexity, response timeliness and communication methods (web vs. telephone).

Develops and maintains management reports that monitor payor performance. Takes appropriate action when payors performance is not meeting expectations.

Monitors and evaluates employee performance. Holds employees accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives. Executes effective performance redirection when needed. Develops employees through coaching, mentoring and formal/on-the-job training and development opportunities.

Develops relationships within Amedisys to promote collaboration and teamwork ensuring the revenue cycle is operating efficiently and effectively.

Maintains a complete understanding of all systems used in the revenue cycle (e.g. HCHB, Deloitte, Relay) to assist in the establishment of processes and to monitor the effectiveness of these processes.

Responsible for root cause analysis on all payor issues to ensure timely resolution.

Develops relationships with assigned payors to assist in the resolution of outstanding AR.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

Six (6+) years’ experience in healthcare financial management, preferably in Home Health or Hospice

PreferredSeven  plus years of progressive leadership experience in the revenue cycle of a healthcare system.

CPA, master's degree.
