Overview:

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking an Associate Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) Specialist or Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) Specialist to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Associate Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) Specialist or Field Procurement Engineering (FPE) Specialist provides field level support for the procurement of goods and services for an assigned area or division. Acts as liaison between the field and buyer organization on procurement actions.

Responsibilities:

Work assignments are normally routine and prescribed in nature with limited variety.

Reviews and/or prepares purchase requisitions and related documents for goods and services in the area or division assigned. Related documents include, but are not limited to, purchase requisition change notices (PRCN), blanket order requests, master order requests, cash procurements, stores requests, lease requests, emergency procurement requests, sole source justifications, make or buy analyses, vendor documentation requirements, and associated cost estimates.

Prepares and/or assists in the preparation and development of statement of work documents, procurement specifications, inspections, quality and other technical base documents in a collaborative effort with the field organization.

Ensures initial and ongoing compliance and consistent application of all company procurement policies and practices.

Collaborates with engineering, technical, and quality personnel. Coordinates the approval of the requisition and related documents with subcontract technical representatives, end users, cognizant quality and technical sources, and other approvers.

Reviews established site stores/spares and/or material access center (MAC) items for suitability with requisition’s needs. Coordinates the establishment, receipt, and storage of stores/spares items.

Reconciles the procurement credit card statement as needed. Reviews statement detail for authorized purchases and ensures proper credit for returns.

Utilizes systems for tracking, resolving, dispositioning and reporting delivery, invoicing, inspection, and non-conformance problems/issues.

Expedites delivery of materials from vendors and/or stores inventory as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree

OR

High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience in the area(s) of procurement, materials management, maintenance, operations or related area as defined in the job description.

Additional information:

Candidate(s) selected to receive an offer will be offered the position level commensurate with their experience and qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors or Associates degree

General understanding of procurement and materials management.

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. The SRMC Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Site’s Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities.
