Overview:
Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Biologist to work onsite in Manassas, VA.
We're looking for a Biologist to manufacture biological materials and standards. You'll work under minimal guidance to support the production of biological cultures and derivative products, as well as contribute to data collection and recording. Hands-on expertise in cell culture, virus culture, and problem-solving is highly preferred with a commitment to maintaining rigorous documentation and laboratory safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing or quality control (QC) testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Contribute to revisions of SOPs and work instructions. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving: Increase knowledge of various cell lines and organisms, and handle challenges in alignment with organizational policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent
Hands on laboratory experience with cell culture and aseptic technique required
Attention to detail
Ability to adhere to corporate policies and procedures
Virus culture experience is preferred
Molecular experience is a plus
