We are hiring part-time or full-time seasonal workers to join our team of horticulturists for our fall/winter planting of thousands of trees and shrubs in our ever-growing, world-renowned research arboretum/botanical garden. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in horticulture/arboriculture through hands-on, on-the-job training with a wide variety of unusual plant species.

Responsibilities:
As an Arboretum Ground Person, you will play an important role in:
Learning through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of horticulture, including:
Properly planting trees and their aftercare
Record-keeping
Irrigation/fertilization
Nursery management
Plant health care
Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
Qualifications:
A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
Interest in working outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team
Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required
Valid driver's license
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or a related field is preferred but not required
