Location: Zurich
Rate: 95/hour
Length of contract: 6months

About the Role:

As a Linux System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the bank's One Investment Platform. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and upgrading existing Platform OS integration components
• Driving the RHEL migration journey
• Developing Ansible playbooks for release rollouts and operational purposes
• Enhancing existing Platform service implementations
• Contributing to the Platform Modernization initiative
• Providing 3rd Level Support of production environments

Your Team:

You will be part of a dynamic and agile team of professionals within the Investing organization. Working closely with technical experts from 15+ applications and operations, you will be challenged to deliver in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

Your Expertise:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent in system engineering
• At least 10 years of experience as a Linux system engineer for complex applications
• Proficiency with Apache/Tomcat on UNIX/Linux environments
• Experience with Kafka, ZooKeeper, Elasticsearch, and Ignite (preferred)
• Perl skills (preferred)
• Exposure to Java technologies (preferred)
• A strong understanding of Agile methodologies
• Working knowledge of tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate technical discussions and activities
• Self-initiative and a comfort level working on a wide range of topics
