About the Role
Our client is seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Care Home Manager in managing the day-to-day service of a 25-bed home. The goal is to ensure a quality-driven and holistic service is provided to residents, supporting them to live as independently and dignified a life as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement the assessment process for residents.
- Develop and maintain communication channels for information and service provision.
- Ensure residents receive guidance and access to their welfare benefit entitlements (if applicable).
- Manage and develop high-performing teams to maintain care and support standards in line with internal policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date records for compliance purposes (e.g., Data Protection Act, Commission for Social Care Inspection).
- Possess knowledge and experience in the healthcare needs of the elderly, including identifying vital signs and monitoring deteriorating conditions.
- Be fully trained and compliant in the safe handling, ordering, storage, and administration of medicines.
- Implement and adhere to internal and external policies and standards (e.g., Department of Health, Care Quality Commission, Health and Safety Executive, HCPC).
- Engage in continuous self-development to ensure knowledge and skills are relevant to the service.
- Be aware of responsibilities under the Charity`s Health and Safety policy, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Actively support the vision, philosophies, and values of the Charity.

About You
- NVQ Level 4 (essential)
- Advanced-level certified medication training
- At least 2 years of experience in a Team Leader or Deputy Manager role
- Previous experience in a residential setting
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Minimum of 12 months of supervisory/management experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as necessary
- Knowledge of developing care plans
- Familiarity with the latest care standards and relevant legislation
- Previous experience in rostering

Position: Deputy Manager
Location: SW
Hours: 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends
Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum
