Our client requires a warehouse operative to undertake all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure the fulfilment of customer orders and that goods are handled efficiently, accurately, within set timeframes and in line with organisational policies and procedures within a time and temperature-critical environment. This position is 40 hours per week over five days including a Sunday 6 am - 2 pm.

Duties for a warehouse operative include;

* Order Picking (Full pallet and customer-specified picks)

* Loading and Unloading Delivery Vehicles

* Working in Cold Store Environments

* Operating Forklift Trucks (Reach Truck / PPT License permitted)

* Completion of relevant paperwork documents (including carrying out & recording temperature checks)

* Following company policies and procedures

* An awareness of the HACCP principle

* To comply with quality, Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.

* Identifying and appropriately communicating any factors that may impact the operation.

* To ensure all warehouse operations are completed safely and efficiently per company policies and procedures.

* To operate in line with organisational KPIs

* To ensure work is completed in compliance with food safety requirements

* Contribute to a positive site culture

* Adopt an approach of continuous improvement

The successful warehouse operative would need the following;

* Ability to demonstrate a proactive, “can do” approach

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Ability to work as part of a team or under one's initiative.

* Flexibility to respond positively and reliably to internal and external customer requests
