Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Youth Worker for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will engage with young people through dynamic projects, helping to plan and deliver a variety of educational and recreational activities that promote their personal and social development.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Plan, organise, and deliver youth activities and programmes in line with service goals.
Engage with young people to assess their needs and provide tailored support, including mentoring and coaching.
Support young people in developing personal action plans and setting goals for their development.
Manage and contribute to the planning of community events and activities designed to engage young people.
Create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can participate in recreational activities like sports, arts, and drama.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people in a youth work, teaching, or social care setting.
Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with SEND, young carers, or those at risk of gang involvement.
Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing one-to-one/group support to young people.
What's on offer:
Salary: £18+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
