Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the banking industry? Our client, a major player in the banking sector, is seeking a Business Control Specialist to join their team. This is a temporary position with a contract length of 6 months, offering Full time hours.

Role: Business Control Specialist

Duration: 6 months

Location: Chester (Hybrid 3 days in Office)

Rate: £600 per day (umbrella)

As a Business Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing risk and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in issue and audit management, as well as providing advice and challenge to the Networks teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering high-quality outputs and taking ownership of assigned tasks in a proactive manner.
  • Escalating issues with proposed solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining relationships with the team and key stakeholders.
  • Assisting and supporting team members in maintaining collaborative relationships with staff.
  • Assisting with internal compliance audits, representing network technology throughout the audit life cycle.
  • Collecting evidence, reporting findings, and validating issue remediation.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Some understanding of WAN/LAN Network Technologies.
  • Experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Good understanding of compliance risks and assessments, as well as general network technology risks.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a structured and organised approach.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Performance-oriented with the ability to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry is desirable.
